Every family’s needs are unique and special. We listen with sensitivity, answer all
questions, and respect your choices.
Then, we take care of all the details.
In response to an ever-changing world, we are continuously
updating and improving upon everything we do for the families we are privileged
to serve.
WE PROMISE to help create meaningful ceremonies that
celebrate the life of those who have died and bring comfort and healing to the
living.
…of historical significance
In addition to showing historical flavor of our area, the statistical data from
the records of Miller Funeral Home beginning in 1912, have assisted hundreds of
families in genealogical research, family medical history and location of final
disposition. The records from 1902 and 1911
were destroyed in a fire. Viewed as a
vital historical asset our region, we have loaned our chronicled statistical
data library to the Minnehaha County Historical Society who, in turn, has had it microfilmed for families to
make use of.
…with charitable traditions
Since 1902, it has been a tradition of
Miller Funeral Home to provide infant and child services at no cost to the
families. This solemn tradition also
includes services for police and firefighters killed in the line of duty. As it was in our past, the directors of
Miller Funeral Home take personal interest in each family we serve. We are committed to individual and
professional care. In our many years of
professional care we have developed solid working relationships around d the
state to help make all steps of the funeral arrangements less stressful for the
families we serve.
…stepping into the future
Although Mr. Miller’s forethought has allowed us to serve the families of our
local communities well, continuing his vision of the future is paramount. In 1999, plans were drawn to create a second
area location on 41st Street near Valley View Road. Completed in September, 2000, our Valley View
Funeral Home Chapel combines classic Miller elegance with contemporary design.
