Marilyn Joy Fossum Edman passed away February 25, 2010, in Sioux Falls. Marilyn was born March 31, 1928, to Julius and Ida (Skaare) Fossum in Pierpont, SD. She attended Old Glory 178 Country School, Pierpont High School, and Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen. She then worked at KSDN and Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company in Aberdeen.

She moved to Sioux Falls where she met Gordon, and they were united in marriage June 06, 1966. She worked for Dick Kelly Insurance and later for First National Bank in Sioux Falls where she retired.

Survivors include husband Gordon; sister, Hazle (John) Badgley, Mobridge, SD; brothers Erwin (Beverly) Fossum, Fargo, ND, Gerald (Vivian) Fossum, Rapid City, SD; nine nieces and nephews, and many cousins and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Earl and Ivan Fossum.

Visitation with the family present will be Monday, March 01 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at the Chapel at First Lutheran Church on Tuesday, March 02, at 2:00 PM.
