Ellen M. Coffin, Fort Dodge, IA, and formerly of Sioux Falls, SD, died Monday, March 1, 2010 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Ft. Dodge. She was 76.

Ellen was born December 8, 1933 in Humboldt, IA to Mons and Nettie Evje. Ellen married Ronald Schultz in 1951, and divorced in 1957. She married Ralph Coffin in 1970. They made their home in Minnesota and later retired to Sioux Falls, SD.

She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, Fort Dodge and First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.

Ellen is survived by her daughters, Susan Flattery (John) of Fort Dodge, Deborah Smith (Dennis) of Robbinsdale, MN; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Sandy Cihak of Fairmont, MN, Pam Smith (Steve) of Cheyenne, WY, Ed Coffin (Pat) of Williams, AZ; sisters, Kathy Evje of Seattle, Mae Perry of New Brighton, MN; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, her parents, and brothers, Andrew and John.

Visitation in Iowa will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 5th in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home, Ft. Dodge.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Miller Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
