Julie K. Johnson, Sioux Falls, SD, died July 29, 2010, in Sioux Falls. She was 65.

Julie (Borgen) Johnson was born in Sioux Falls, SD, on September 30, 1944, to Alfred and Lorinda (Gehring) Borgen. She graduated from Washington Senior High School in 1962, and attended SDSU, Brookings. Julie then worked as a daycare provider at Woodlake Racquet Club and also as a private daycare provider.

She was united in marriage with Steve Johnson at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD, on December 29, 1971. Julie spent many years providing care for her mother and aunt. In her free time, she enjoyed making handicrafts and particularly liked making Christmas items and decorations. An avid movie fan, Julie loved watching classic films.
She loved spending time in the Black Hills and cherished her little four-legged buddy, "Pudge"

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Steve Johnson, Sioux Falls, SD;
Brother, Al Borgen, Sioux Falls, SD; sisters, Cynthia Borgen, Sioux Falls, SD, Mary Durham, Arden Hills, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, at Christ the Victor Chapel of First Lutheran Church. Visitation begins at noon, Friday with the family present from 7:00 to 8:00 Friday evening at Miller Funeral Home, 13th and Main Avenue.
