Donna,and Family.I have alot of memories of Derick at my house. My most fond memory was when I gave him the black kitten. He thought it was a girl until you took it to the vet. Everytime he would come over that kitten would latch onto Derick like he knew he was gonna be his owner. I also remember when Derick had Thanksgiving with me and Jordan and my family. He made it so fun and he even helped with dishes. He was like a son to me for a long time and then I moved and havent seen him for a while. We laughed so hard when I colored his hair purple and gave him dred locks. He was always so helpful to me when I couldnt figure something out he would go on the internet and fix it for me. Jordan will be lost without him but we will save our good memories for a lifetime. I didnt get to meet Jazmine but I know how much Derick loved her. If I can ever do anything for you Donna please call me and let me know even if its to have coffee and talk.My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. And it is true THE GOOD DIE YOUNG!!!!!! I have only talked to derick once in my life when I went to the haunted house, but my very good friends are friends with him so I have heard what an amazing guy he was. My wife and I were riding our Harley that day and actually got stopped at that stoplight right after it happened. We were both sick to our stomach afterwards, a tearfull evening over a young man we did not know. As parents, we knew someone would be getting a call that day they hoped they would never get.
