Abigail Wini Reed, age 12, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Cornerstone Church (900 E. 41st St., Sioux Falls, SD). Family will be present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Miller Funeral Home - Southside Chapel (7400 S Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls, SD).

Abigail Wini Reed was born on November 26, 2012, known lovingly as Abby, to Sheldon Reed and MaryAnn Barry. Abby was a bright light whose presence brought joy to everyone she met. She was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend whose laughter, warmth, and radiant smile touched the lives of countless people.

Abby found joy and laughter in many things. She loved bubbles, splashing around in the pool, or even just watching laundry being folded; she always found someone doing housework hilarious. Abby also found immeasurable joy just being around friends and family. A little thrill seeker at heart, she was always happiest when sharing laughter and adventures with others.

Abby had a way of finding a place in people's hearts. Whether you knew Abby for five years or five minutes, her sweet face, with her loving smile and warm personality, was simply unforgettable. She had the most unique and beautiful smile. A smile that could melt any heart. Abby captivated everyone she met, and she leaves behind a legacy of joy, love, and light.

Abby is survived by her parents, Sheldon (Shelby) Reed and MaryAnn Barry; her sisters, October Reed, Rowyn Smith-Reed, Emberly Sorlien, and Rory Reed. Grandparents: Sheldon (Linda) Reed II, Julie Kerran, Trisha (DelRay) Edelman, Jeffrey (Robyn) Smith. Uncles Jason Reed, Brandon (Megan) Reed, Blake (Amy) Barry, and Geoffrey Smith. Also, her great-grandmother, Ann Harbin. She is also remembered with love by many cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Abby is preceded in death by her sister, Wednesday Elaine Reed, her grandfather Mark Kerran, great-grandfather Bob Harbin, great-grandfather Sheldon Reed, great-grandfather James Pond, great-grandmother Winifred Reed, great-grandmother Delores Emory, and great-grandmother Wanda Pond.

Though her time on earth was brief, Abby's memory will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
