Aida Assam passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard Assam and a cherished mother to Danya, Dena, and Damon, as well as stepmother to Linda and Fred. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Edward.

Originally hailing from Ohio, Aida made Sioux Falls her home for 46 wonderful years.

She attended the University of Toledo, where she began to cultivate her passion for grace and creativity. Known for her elegance and beauty, she shared her talents as a model and later as a teacher of modeling, inspiring confidence and poise in many young women.

Aida was not only a loving family member but also a respected businesswoman. For over three decades, she proudly owned and operated Merle Norman Cosmetics in Sioux Falls, SD. Her store was much more than a business—it was a gathering place where her customers became lifelong friends. Serving them was not just her work; it was her passion and privilege.

Aida's warmth, kindness, and unwavering sense of style will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and grace that will forever inspire those who had the honor of sharing in her life.
