Alexander A. Koromyslov, 55, of Brookings, South Dakota, passed away at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on May 12th, 2026.

Born in Saratov, Russia, on May 24th, 1970, Alex graduated from Saratov State Technical University with a PhD in Economics. At the age of 41, he and his family moved to Brookings, South Dakota, where he lived the rest of his life.

He was passionate about gardening, fishing, camping, and building connections with people.

Alex was preceded in death by his father, Anatoliy Koromyslov, his mother, Galina Koromyslova, and his sister, Olga Stafford. He is survived by his daughters, Daria and Maria Koromyslova, as well as his nephew, Alexander Stafford.
