Allen Joe Stucky

Allen Joe Stucky, age 82, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away surrounded by family on August 11th, 2026, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Allen was born in Yankton, SD, on June 5th, 1944, to Christ and Mary (Hofer) Stucky. He attended Yankton High School and graduated in 1963. He married his beloved wife, Joyce, on August 20th, 1966, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lesterville, SD. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year.

Allen and Joyce built a wonderful life and welcomed three children in Sioux Falls, SD. He was also a charter member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Following high school, Allen enlisted in the Army National Guard. He built a career truck driving and working in home construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, cheering for his Packers, and watching baseball. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by many.

Grateful to have shared his life are his loving family: wife, Joyce (Huber) Stucky; son, Craig (Cyra) Stucky, Mitchell, SD; daughter, Teri (Terry) Bangasser, Edmond, OK; daughter, Jill (Jeff) Hand, Harrisburg, SD; his 10 grandchildren, Mikayla (Noah) Hammons, Caterra Bangasser, Cassidy Stucky, Callie (Trace) Maddox, Mason Stucky, Carter Stucky, Madison Stucky, McKenzie Hand, Miranda Hand, Marissa Hand; great-grandchild, Blakely Hammons; brother, Dennis (Jeanette) Stucky; sister-in-law, Sally Stucky; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Christ and Mary Stucky; brothers, Kenneth Stucky and Terry Stucky; infant brother, Dale Stucky; and sister, Mildred Koster.

The visitation will be held Tuesday, August 18th, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Sioux Falls, SD, with the prayer service immediately following at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, August 19th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, with lunch to follow. Burial will take place after lunch at St. Agnes Church (Sigel Cemetery) in Utica, SD.
