Alvin Corado, range control employee at Fort Carson base, passed away November 24th 2025, in Franktown, CO in a tragic car accident along with his daughter MaKenlee Corado (11), son Toretto Corado (8), and step-son Jase Green (12). He was 35.

Alvin Corado was born February 20th, 1990, in Freeport, NY, to Jorge and Lorena (Blanco) Corado. He attended Columbus Avenue School until the third grade. In June of 1999 his family moved to Sioux Falls, SD. There he attended Terry Redlin Elementary, Whittier Middle School, and graduated from Washington High School in 2008. He had a love for football and played throughout middle school and high school. His senior year he got to play at the DakotaDome in Vermillion for the championship game. During and following high school he worked a variety of jobs ranging from Wendy's, Hy-Vee, Walmart, John Morrell, and Service First Credit Union to name a few.

He was united in marriage with Marissa Nordman in Sioux Falls. They had 3 beautiful children together. They moved to Colorado Springs, CO in March of 2020. They later divorced but he stayed in Colorado to be near his children whom he loved very much. In September of 2020 he enlisted in the army with the goal of becoming a military police officer. He completed his training in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He was currently a Sergeant at Fort Carson base in Colorado. He was very proud of his accomplishments there. In November of 2024 he was deployed to Japan, a trip he enjoyed.

Alvin enjoyed working out and spending time with his children. They each had a very special place in his heart. He loved them more than anything and they were his world. He was always learning new hairstyles to try on MaKenlee. In his free time he liked to watch football and UFC Fights. He was a big fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had a love for cars that he shared with his older brother Irvin. His favorite movies were The Fast and Furious Movies, which he could quote on command. He loved his family very much.

Grateful for having shared his life are his parents Jorge and Lorena Corado; Daughter Mia Corado of Colorado Springs, CO; Siblings Edwin (Gisela) Corado Aristondo of Seattle, WA; Irvin (Tracy) Corado of Sioux Falls, SD; Kricia (Richard) Varga of Sioux Falls, SD; Nieces Giselle, Danica, and Veronica Corado of Sioux Falls, SD; Rose Emily Aristondo of Seattle, WA; Caitlyn Trower of Lincoln, NE; Nephews Isaac Corado of Sioux Falls, SD; Kevin and Dominic Varga of Sioux Falls, SD; Kaleb and Ashton Cotterman of Sioux Falls, SD; Preston Trower of Garretson, SD; Girlfriend Jennifer Watkins of Colorado Springs, CO; Many, many cousins, uncles, and aunts. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jose Isaac Aragon, Purificacion Blanco, Herminia Corado, and Jose Mamilio Aguirre.

Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be Thursday, December 4,  from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, with a 7:30 pm Liturgical Wake Service at Miller Funeral Home Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral Mass will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 5, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1220 E. 8th Street, Sioux Falls, SD with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Followed by coffee and bread at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Alvin Corado nació el 20 de febrero de 1990 en Freeport, Nueva York, hijo de Jorge y Lorena (Blanco) Corado. Asistió a la escuela Columbus Avenue hasta tercer grado. En junio de 1999, su familia se mudó a Sioux Falls, Dakota del Sur. Allí asistió a la escuela primaria Terry Redlin, a la escuela secundaria Whittier y se graduó de la preparatoria Washington en 2008. Era un apasionado del fútbol americano y jugó durante toda la secundaria y la preparatoria. En su último año de secundaria, jugó en el DakotaDome de Vermillion para el partido del campeonato. Durante y después de la preparatoria, trabajó en diversos puestos, como Wendy's, Hy-Vee, Walmart, John Morrell y Service First Credit Union, entre otros.

Se casó con Marissa Nordman en Sioux Falls. Tuvieron tres hermosos hijos. Se mudaron a Colorado Springs, Colorado, en marzo de 2020. Posteriormente se divorciaron, pero él se quedó en Colorado para estar cerca de sus hijos, a quienes amaba profundamente. En septiembre de 2020 se alistó en el ejército con el objetivo de convertirse en policía militar. Completó su entrenamiento en Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Actualmente era sargento suboficial en la base de Fort Carson, Colorado. Estaba muy orgulloso de sus logros allí. En noviembre de 2024 fue enviado a Japón, un viaje que disfrutó mucho.

A Alvin le encantaba hacer ejercicio y pasar tiempo con sus hijos. Cada uno tenía un lugar muy especial en su corazón. Los amaba más que a nada en el mundo y eran su mundo. Siempre estaba aprendiendo nuevos peinados para MaKenlee. En su tiempo libre le gustaba ver fútbol americano y las peleas de la UFC. Era un gran aficionado de los Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Compartía una pasión por los autos con su hermano mayor, Irvin. Sus películas favoritas eran Rápido y Furioso, que podía citar cuando se le pidiera. Amaba mucho a su familia.

El velatorio, con la presencia de la familia para saludar a los amigos, tendrá lugar el jueves 4 de diciembre de 5:30 a 7:30 pm , con un servicio litúrgico a las 7:30 pm en la Funeraria Miller Downtown, ubicada en 507 S. Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD. La misa funeral se celebrará el viernes 5 de diciembre a la 1:00 pm en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, ubicada en 1220 E. 8th Street, Sioux Falls, SD, y el entierro se realizará en el Cementerio Woodlawn. A continuación, se ofrecerá café y pan en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.
