Obituary

Amy McKay Lindberg, age 60, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on August 15, 2025. She was born on October 26, 1964, to Jack and Diane Lindberg in Belton, MO.

A celebration of life will be held at her home of over 30 years on Sunday, September 7th from 3:00-5:00 pm

She is survived by her only daughter, Hollie, son-in-law Nick, and her three beloved grandsons, Cash, Rory, and Jack, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Headstrong, funny, and truly one-of-a-kind, Amy lived her life with boldness and authenticity. She was the biggest Beatles fan you could ever meet, a lover of trivia and fun facts (especially about music), and a woman who always had a southern catch phrase ready for the moment. She was well educated, could drive a stick shift with ease, loved to cook, and always looked her best, most often in a dress paired with her signature black boots.

She had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and fiercely cherished her neighbors and community. Professionally, she spent much of her career as a respected contract negotiator for Sanford Health Plan, where her intelligence and determination shone brightly.

A true original, Amy loved the heat, traveling to warm places, and soaking up the sun. She was unique in every sense of the word, unforgettable to all who knew her.

Her spirit, her humor, and her boundless love for her family and close friends will live on through the memories and traditions she created and the legacy she leaves behind.
