ngela Kelley of Sioux Falls passed away with her family by her side Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Angela Lynn Kelley was born October 4, 1977 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Jim and Betty Kelley. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1996. Currently working as a pharmacy technician at Avera Specialty Pharmacy and HyVee Pharmacy, Angie was also attending the University of Sioux Falls enrolled in their nursing program.
Angie was very active in the National Kidney Foundation and an advocate for Animal Rescue. She enjoyed debate class in high school and continued judging debate tournaments. Angie is also one of the original members of the Roller Dollz Roller Derby team of Sioux Falls.
Angie was known for her big smile, sense of humor, and her sharp wit. Those who knew her would say she was a great storyteller and always made people laugh. She had the biggest heart and enjoyed spending time with family and adored her nephew and niece. She would test toys to make sure the toys were "fun enough" before giving them to her nephew and niece.
Grateful for having shared her life are her parents Jim and Betty Kelley; sister, Allison (Josh) Gates; nephew and niece, Ethan and Lily Gates; her cat, Fozzy Bear; aunts and uncles, Barb (Lyle) Ostermyer, Bob Popken, Tom Popken, Dan Kelley, Janice (Lew) Embrey, Tom (Regina) Kelley, Tim (Donna) Kelley, Robert (Donna) Kelley, Garnet (Gary) Buum, and Rick (Ronelle) Kelley; and numerous cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Regina Popken and John and Xaveris Kelley; 2 uncles, Jerry and Pat Kelley; aunt, Nancy Kelley; and her special cat, Bunson Honeydew Kitty.
Funeral Mass 10:30 am Thursday, September 13, 2018 at St. Michael Parish, 1600 S. Marion Rd., Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation with family present to greet friends 5:00 - 6:30 pm and a preayer service beginning at 6:30 pm Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Miller Funeral Home - Westside Chapel, 6200 W. 41st Street., Sioux Falls, SD. Interment St. Michael Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD.
