Arnold "Arnie" DeSchepper, 91, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Good Samaritan Luther Manor in Sioux Falls. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Christ the King Catholic Church (1501 W. 26th St., Sioux Falls) with the family greeting friends for visitation one hour prior.

Arnie DeSchepper, son of Louis and Bertha (Veire) DeSchepper, was born on August 30, 1934, in the Township of Rose Dell, MN. He grew up on the family farm and attended Jasper High School, where he met the love of his life, Janet Haraldson.

Arnie was united in marriage with Janet on September 8, 1954, in Jasper, MN. The couple remained in the Jasper, MN area, where Arnie worked in the Farm Equipment Business. The family spent some time in Marshall, MN, before moving to Sioux Falls, SD, in 1967, where he worked for Dakon and Ideal Hardware until his retirement. He also spent several years volunteering at Sanford Health's main hospital campus.

In his spare time, Arnie enjoyed fishing and playing cards with friends, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Grateful for having shared his life are his sons, Bryan DeSchepper and wife Arlene, Mesa, AZ, Jeff DeSchepper and his wife Lisa, Sioux Falls, SD; daughter, Nancy Harrington of Sioux Falls, SD; and the joy of his life, 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Arnie was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; his parents; grandparents; and siblings.
