Audrey Jean Beyer, Sioux Falls, SD, died September 8, 2009, in Sioux Falls. She was 72.

Audrey was born September 2, 1937, in Minneapolis, MN, to Richard and Laura (Fitzner) Redman. She grew up in Milbank, SD, where she graduated from high school in 1955.

Audrey married William Dorman on May 27, 1955. The family moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1959, where Audrey became a homemaker and loving mother to their three children. She later attended Nettleton Business College and worked in medical records and various secretarial positions in Sioux Falls, before retiring in 1981.

On October 9, 1982, she married Donald Beyer in Sioux Falls. The couple enjoyed traveling, and particularly enjoyed their trip to the Middle East, as well as traveling to Florida and the east coast to visit relatives. Don passed away in 2001.

Audrey was a member of Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church, where she was active in various activities and programs. She loved music and for many years was involved in church choir. In her free time, Audrey enjoyed watching movies and home shopping. A loyal friend to all who knew her, Audrey's charitable and nurturing spirit will be well missed.

Grateful for having shared her life are her sons, Richard Dorman and his wife, Kathy, Wexford, PA, Jeffrey Dorman, Sioux Falls, SD; daughter-in-law, Dawn Dorman, Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Alaina (John) Habermann, Angela Dorman, Marissa Dorman, Emily Dorman; and great-granddaughter, Ava Durler. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Bill Dorman; and her brother, Laverne Redman.

Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am Saturday at Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation begins at noon, Friday, with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday evening at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue.
