Ben Pete Wipf, 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Sanford USD Medical Center with his loving wife by his side. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 17, 2026, at Gracevale Colony, 23843 466th Ave., Winfred, SD, 57076.

Ben was born on November 4, 1952, to Pete and Rebecca Wipf.

Ben was united in marriage to Mary Tschetter, the love of his life, on September 7, 2002, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Ben and Mary were the proud owners of Ben Wipf Construction. He had a passion for constructing quality, mid- to luxury homes in the Sioux Empire Region that are enjoyed by many.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was the happiest out in nature.

Ben was a very kind and generous person. He had a gentle heart. Above all, Ben cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife, Mary; daughter, Amber; son, Travis; four grandchildren, Tiffany, Jack, Drake, and Madden; 7 brothers; 7 sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Rebecca, and two sisters, Susan and Lena.
