Obituary

Blake Allen Buck, 54, passed away while surrounded by his loving family in Sioux Falls, SD on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Miller Funeral Home (Downtown Location) 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD.

Blake was born on February 5th, 1972 in Fulton SD to Leonard and Charlotte (Elliot) Buck. He attended Rapid City Public Schools. He later moved to Armour SD.

In 1996 he was blessed with a daughter, Cheyanne. In 2005 he was blessed with another daughter, Madison. In 2015 he welcomed a grandson, Maverick, who he was so proud of.

In 2016, Blake met Mary Jo Marcotte, they dated 6 years and married in 2022. Through this marriage he gained 2 sons, Mason and Max, and a daughter, Morgan. In 2020, Blake and Mary Jo moved to Hartford, SD.

Blake built a successful career for almost 30 years at Trail King Industries. He started as a welder and later took on the role of Safety Manager. He loved his job at Trail King, where he was respected for his knowledge and leadership.

Blake was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and took pride in everything he did. He loved riding motorcycles; he and Mary Jo took many cross-country trips including to Tennessee and Colorado. He enjoyed playing guitar, mowing his lawn, and completing home and vehicle projects. Whether he was working in the garage, improving his home, or enjoying a ride on the open road, Blake found joy in creating, fixing, and caring for the things he loved.

Blake lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Jo; his children, Cheyanne (Kyle) Erthum, Madison Buck, Morgan (Zume) Marcotte, Mason (Kalli) Marcotte, and Max (Emma) Marcotte, and his treasured grandson, Maverick Buck, as well as sisters Vicki (Don) Meis and Louann Manning. His family was the center of his life, and the memories they shared together will be forever cherished.

Blake will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his willingness to lend a helping hand, his sense of humor, and the love he showed to those closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though his time with us was far too short, Blake's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the lives he touched, and the countless memories he leaves behind.
