Bonnie Lou Loudenslager passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Sanford Centennial Cottage in Sioux Falls. She was 96. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home - Downtown Chapel, with family present to greet friends for visitation one hour prior.

Bonnie Lou (Adams) Loudenslager was born on September 19th, 1929, in Akron, Iowa, to Arthur and Carrie (Ringsrud) Adams. Bonnie was raised and received her education in Akron, graduating from Akron High School in 1947. Following high school, Bonnie attended Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls from 1947 - 1949. Bonnie married the love of her life, William (Bill) Elbert Loudenslager, on February 19, 1949, in Howard, South Dakota.

Bill and Bonnie moved to Tracy, Minnesota for work, and when Bill was called into the Korean War, they moved to Munford, Tennessee. After serving in the Navy, they returned to South Dakota and lived in Canton. In 1955, the family moved to Sioux Falls, where Bill worked for NSP and Bonnie helped build and raise their family, which would become a total of five.

Bonnie loved her three children and husband, and she willingly and lovingly took care of them through the years. At an early age, Bonnie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a faithful follower until the day she was called home to meet her Savior. Her faith was lived out in her servant's heart, her hospitable attitude, and her desire to always help.

Later in life, Bonnie began doing reflexology and then massages, serving many loyal customers. She continued giving those massages until she was 90. Bonnie enjoyed baking, sewing, and spending time with friends over a game of bridge or during ladies' circle. She taught Bible Study to her church friends for decades, as she loved teaching others about God's truth. She was a faithful attendant of the First Evangelical Free Church of Sioux Falls for many years.

Love of music was also a key component of her life. She performed at singing contests in high school, sang in the church choir, and sang solos at funerals. Church hymns were especially precious to her, and she had so many of them memorized. You could often hear Bonnie mentioning, "There is a song for that!" or "There is a song for everything!"

Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who will be deeply missed. Grateful for sharing her life are her children, Linda (Mike) Kenyon and Jim (Joyce) Loudenslager; grandchildren, Chris Kenyon, Kalae Loudenslager, Lane Loudenslager, Aaron Loudenslager, Carsen Loudenslager, Pierce Loudenslager, and Addison Loudenslager; and great-grandchild, Miles Kenyon.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Bill Loudenslager; son, Lamont Loudenslager; parents, Arthur and Carrie Adams; sisters, Elsie Trudeau, Shirley Anderson, and Lois Bullock; brother, Ralph Adams; and son-in-law, Mike Kenyon.
