Bradley Alan Wersal was born July 8th, 1963, in Springfield MN, to Leo and Darlene(Helget) Wersal.  He graduated from Marshall High School in 1981.  He worked in the grocery and customer service industries from age 14 until retirement in 2022. He worked for his dad's store, Leo's Fairway, in Marshall, MN, then Hy-Vee Foods for 33 years in Sioux Falls, SD.  While working at Hy-Vee, some customers enjoyed him so much that they would check out their groceries at his register even when he had a line and other registers were line-free.  He was known for his friendly banter, cheerfulness, and kindness. He finished his working years as a receptionist at The Inn on Westport in Sioux Falls, SD.

On June 8th, 1985, Brad was united in marriage with Brenda Scott at Holy Redeemer Church in Marshall, MN.  They resided in Marshall while Brenda finished college and moved to Sioux Falls, SD in August of 1986.  They purchased their home on S. Drexel Drive in 1988. Their two sons soon joined the family Ryan in April 1989 and Nick in September 1991. As lovers of dogs, Brad, Brenda, and their sons enjoyed the unconditional love of 9 loveable furballs over the 30 years in their home on S. Drexel Drive.

Brad has been a member of St. Michael Church since 1986.  His passion was working with the Cub Scouts of St. Michael Pack 346 as Cubmaster and then as Scoutmaster for St. Michael Troop 346.  He was dedicated to helping the scouts learn new skills and enjoy the outdoors. Most of the scouts and leaders knew Brad would do just about anything to earn a bead for his Towaya. That didn't work at home, however. Lol! In his younger years, Brad enjoyed playing kickball and having water gun fights with his sons and/or the neighbor kids.  Brad was also an avid reader and TV/movie enthusiast. Anything science fiction or comic book character related was "right up his alley".  He enjoyed venturing into the wilderness of the Boundary Waters in Northern MN and made many trips there with the scouts and one special trip with family. Brad always had a quick wit and would entertain people by doing silly things to make them laugh.  Making people laugh was one of his gifts. Our sons, their wives, and our grandchildren meant the world to Brad.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Brenda; sons, Ryan (Elizabeth) Wersal, Queen Creek, AZ, Nick (Tasha) Wersal, Sioux Falls, SD;  mother, Darlene Wersal, Clarkfield, MN; granddaughter, Anya, Queen Creek, AZ; grandson, Elliot, Sioux Falls, SD; brothers, Dave Wersal, Cottonwood, MN, Rick (Carrie) Wersal, Marshall, MN, Randy (Carol) Wersal, Ivanhoe, MN, Scott (Michelle) Wersal, Marshall, MN; sister, Deb (Mike) Engler, Marshall, MN.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Leo Wersal, and all our fur babies.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Michael Pack 346, St. Michael Troop 346 (both at St. Michael Church, Sioux Falls, SD) or the Sioux Falls Humane Society.
