Cathy Sue (Harnack) Wilson, 67, peacefully passed away at Sanford Hospital, surrounded by family on May 25, 2025.

Born on March 30, 1958, in Sioux Falls, SD, Cathy was the beloved daughter of John and Evelyn "Tootie" (Robinson) Harnack. She graduated from West Central High School in 1976.

Cathy was united in marriage to Rick Miller, and their paths later diverged. She later married Terry Wilson and moved to Illinois, where she was blessed with her daughter, Evelyn Marie, in 1994. In 1997, Cathy and Evelyn returned to Sioux Falls, where they built a life together.

Throughout her career, Cathy dedicated herself to various roles, including positions at CitiBank, Evergreen Hydroponics, Sioux Falls School District, Volunteers of America, and LifeScape. She took great pride in her work and retired from LifeScape after five years of service.

A member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hartford, SD. She found joy in Swedish weaving, cross-stitch, puzzles, and reading, always embracing the quiet, simple pleasures of life. Cathy was small in stature but was a stubborn spitfire. Her heart was bigger than the world, as family, friends, and co-workers knew.

The greatest blessing in Cathy's life came in August 1994, with the birth of Evelyn. Their bond was unbreakable, and Cathy's love and devotion to her daughter were beyond words. When Evelyn passed away in 2017, Cathy carried forward her passion for helping others by continuing her work with individuals with disabilities.

Her kindness and generosity extended beyond family, as she formed deep, lasting connections with friends and colleagues who felt more like family.

Cathy cared for her father until his passing, embodying selflessness in every aspect of her life.

Cathy will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Vicki (Don) Siemonsma of Sioux Falls, SD, and Gary (Kathy) Harnack of Glenrock, WY; her nieces and nephews, Jessica (Scott) Larson of Buckeye, AZ, Emily (Dustin) Samuelson of Sioux Falls, SD, Megan (Michael) Voelker of Colman, SD, Andrew (Staci) Siemonsma of Humboldt, SD, Cody Harnack of Butte, NE, and Clint (Danielle) Harnack of Cheyenne, WY; six great-nieces, five great-nephews; and a dear friend who was like a son, Mike Waldo.

Cathy was preceded in death by her daughter, parents, and many beloved relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home Westside Chapel, 6200 W. 41st St, Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2025, with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
