Charles Allen Busch was born March 5th, 1974, in Virginia.  He was able to grow up in many unique and beautiful places. He lived in Arkansas, Hawaii, and Southwest Minnesota, before coming to Sioux Falls in 1999, where he spent much of his adult life.

Charles was known for being an incredibly smart, thoughtful, fun and positive person. He was known by many for being genuine and kind, and was an easy person to talk to. He made friends wherever he went, and will never be forgotten.

After Charles graduated from High School in Jacksonville, Arkansas, he joined the Air Force where he served his country for 2 years.

Charles loved music, singing, dancing, and going to shows. A couple of his favorite artists were PROF and RITZ. Charles liked watching wrestling with his friends, his PlayStation and gaming with friends.

Charles often kept jobs where he was able to drive for a living. This way he could listen to Bob and Tom and music while he worked. He dabbled in a variety of employment opportunities over the years. Recent jobs were with Dakota News, Yellow Cab, Lyft, and delivering one of his favorite foods: Pizza.

Charles met Carrie, the love of his life on Sept 25 ^th , 2017. They spent their time traveling and making many amazing memories together while enjoying each other's company. They watched lots of movies and television shows, and played Trivia games while he recovered from his hospital stays. Charles and Carrie were happily married in South Dakota on October 10 ^th , 2020.

Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February 2016.  Charles had surgery to remove the cancer in March, 2018 in Omaha. Charles and Carrie drove to Florida for 3 weeks of fun in the sun for Charles' 45 ^th birthday to celebrate being cancer free for one year. After Charles and Carrie moved to Colorado in the summer of 2019 enjoying their new mountain view apartment,  the cancer came back November, 2019. Charles and Carrie decided to move back to South Dakota in April, 2020, as Charles wanted to be closer to friends and family.

Charles passed away in the Ava Hospice Care Center in Sioux Falls on November 23 ^rd , 2020, at the age of 46, with a couple of longtime friends at his side. May he now Rest In Peace. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth (Knollenberg) Busch and his father, John Busch, His Grandparents, Harold & Ila Knollenberg, Uncles Allen Knollenberg, Lee Knollenberg,  Vaughn Smith, and Aunt Carole Knollenberg.

He is survived by his wife, Carrie VanOverbeke, and his cat,  El "Bell" Conquistador,  of Sioux Falls, his daughter Ana of Arkansas, His son Elijah Fox of South Dakota. His Sister Rachel Busch of Worthington. His nephew William. His Aunt Audrey Knollenberg, Dennis and Barc Schettler, Charles and Mary Knollenberg, and Carol Smith. Charles has many cousins. Of course many memories and stories will continue to live on for years; through all his friends and lives he impacted.  May he rest in Peace.
