With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Connie L. Anderson, cherished resident of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who left this world peacefully surrounded by her five children on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Dougherty Hospice. Connie was 88, and her warm spirit will be profoundly missed.

A Memorial Service to honor Connie's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 15, 2025, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at Miller Funeral Home – Southside Chapel, 7400 S. Minnesota Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57108. Connie will find her final resting place next to her husband at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Sioux Falls.

Born Constance L. Douthit on November 8, 1936, to loving parents Donald and Dorothy (Bauch) Douthit in Sioux Falls, Connie spent her formative years in the community, attending Catholic school and graduating from Cathedral High School in 1955. She pursued further education at Marquette University and the University of Nebraska, eventually dedicating over 22 years to enriching the lives of students as an educational assistant in the Sioux Falls public school system.

On February 16, 1957, Connie married her beloved husband, Donald "Andy" Eugene Anderson, in Sioux Falls. Together, they created a beautiful family, raising five wonderful children: Karen, Greg, Theresa, Jennifer, and Laurie. Their shared love of the outdoors led to countless joyful camping trips along the Missouri River, where family fishing adventures became cherished memories. Connie and Don also found great happiness at their cabin on Brant Lake, where they enjoyed peaceful days of fishing and laughter with friends and family.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Connie would describe her as a sweet, charming, and incredibly kind individual. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, touching the hearts of everyone she met.

A devoted member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Connie's profound faith and unwavering love for her family were the cornerstones of her life.

Connie is survived by her loving children, Karen (Jim) Reiff of Brant Lake, SD, Greg Anderson of Chester, SD, Theresa Anderson of Sioux Falls, Jennifer (Mark) Satnan of Sioux Falls, and Laurie (Marlon) Lofgren of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by a bonus daughter, Kathy (Bill Beltz) McRae of St. Paul, MN, as well as eleven cherished grandchildren and five dear great-grandchildren. Additionally, Connie leaves behind her two devoted sisters, Dorothy Olshove and Vickie Douthit, both of Sioux Falls, as well as brothers-in-law Mike Carey of Texas and Terry Bolger of Sioux Falls.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Donald and Dorothy Douthit; her sisters, Kathy Pfeifer, Diane Cook, Sue Carey, and Debby Bolger; son-in-law, Pete Anderson; granddaughter, Katie Marie Reiff; and her dear husband, Donald Eugene Anderson.
