Connie Elizabeth (Meyers) Butz left us to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the age of 79. A beloved wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, "Crazy Aunt Connie," and dear friend, Connie passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born to Clarence and Elizabeth Meyers, Connie grew up surrounded by faith, family, and laughter—values she carried throughout her life. She attended Sioux Falls Cathedral, and graduated from O'Gorman High School. On August 7, 1965, she married the love of her life, Thomas W. Butz. Together, they shared 60 beautiful years of marriage, filled with devotion, joy, and countless memories rooted in their deep Catholic faith.

Connie is survived by her husband, Thomas of Sioux Falls; her sister, Deanna (Meyers) Johnson of San Diego, CA; her daughters Dana K. Miller (Tony) and Lora E. Bornhoft (Joel), both of Sioux Falls; and her sons Robert T. Butz (Heather) of Walton, IN and Joshua J. Butz (Nicole) of River Falls, WI. She also leaves behind a legacy of love in her twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren:

Luke Miller, Elizabeth Miller, Jordan Miller, Grace Miller, Alyssa Pickleman (Marc), and her children Lydia, Sara, and Andrew Pickleman, Jenna Bornhoft, Ryan Bornhoft, Carlyann Dean (Mason), Camryn Butz, Charlie Butz (Macy), Joseph Butz, Adeline Butz.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elizabeth Meyers; her brother, Duane Meyers; and her sisters Angeline (Meyers) Scherschligt, Edie (Meyers) Lockman, Ilene (Meyers) Hink, and Donna (Meyers) Devine.

Connie will be remembered for her boundless compassion, contagious laughter, and unshakable faith. Whether through her warm hugs, her joyful sense of humor, or her steadfast prayers, Connie's love touched everyone she met. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Saint Michael Parish in Connie's honor.

"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her."
