Connie Felcher, a longtime employee of Ronald McDonald House, passed away on May 21, 2025, at Sanford Comfort Care in Sioux Falls, SD, surrounded by her family. She was 83 years old.
Connie Lee Felcher was born on March 20, 1942, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Marcello and Tena (Deckert) Corria. She attended public elementary and junior high school, completing her studies in May 1957. Later, she earned her GED at Votech in Jackson, MN. Connie also received recognition through her online college courses with Stratford in Washington, D.C.
On August 30, 1956, Connie married John Marvin Kjergaard in Rock Rapids, IA. The couple had seven children together before divorcing in 1975. She then married Danny Junior Felcher on June 18, 1976, in Sioux Falls, SD, with whom she had three children before divorcing in 2007.
Connie worked as a chief steward for the Union in 1987, advocating for job rights and security. She also supervised American Handicapped Workers in telemarketing and sales, led volunteer efforts for 4-H, and completed medication administration training for non-nursing staff.
Connie is survived by her children: Vicky Mortinson of Sioux Falls, Kevin Kjergaard (Beth) of Sioux Falls, Ronald Kjergaard of Dunnell, MN, Terry Kjergaard, Sioux Falls, John Kjergaard, Sioux Falls, Tanya Raymond of Sioux Falls, Danielle Williams (Garthrod) of Sioux Falls, Danny Felcher of Sioux Falls, and Misty Felcher of Sioux Falls; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, a daughter, grandsons, and a great-grandson.
Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue. The family will be present for visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Miller Funeral Home. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
