Craig Conley Shea, age 77, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away peacefully at Avera Dougherty Hospice on January 27, 2026, in Sioux Falls.

Craig was born on December 13, 1948, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Conley and Leona (Hawkey) Shea. He graduated from Washington High School and later attended Sioux Falls College (now the University of Sioux Falls), from which he graduated. For 22 years, Craig worked at the Department of Social Services in Adult Services and Aging, retiring in 2013.

In June 1995, Craig married Gail Fossum at her family farm in Canton, South Dakota. Together, they renovated their 1886 Victorian home and enjoyed extended travel.

Craig is survived by his wife, Gail Fossum Shea; two brothers, Kevin O'Shea and Patrick Shea; and his brother-in-law, Gregg Fossum. He is also survived by his four nephews and one niece, his aunt Alyce Caryl Buruna, and many cousins and other extended family members.

Craig is preceded in death by his parents, Conley and Leona Shea; and his grandparents, Lester and Pearl Hawkey, and Frank and Mayne Shea.

Craig will be greatly missed by many.

Family and friends will gather from 3:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday, February 16th, 2026, at the Highball (440 E. 8th St., Sioux Falls, SD).
