Dale Claude Leslie passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was 84 years old.

Dale was born at home in Centerville, South Dakota, on August 13, 1941, to Claude and SeDell (Osthus) Leslie. He attended grade school and high school in Centerville, graduating from Centerville High School in 1959. Dale was active in sports, serving as the team's MVP quarterback, playing basketball, and helping lead the team to the regionals.

After high school, Dale worked for the South Dakota Highway Department in Sioux Falls for 15 years. He then joined Concrete Materials, where he became the manager of Redi Mix, a position he held for 29 years until his retirement in 2003.

In 1961, Dale married Karen Jacobson, and together they raised three sons: Rick, Randy, and Rob. Dale and Karen attended many sporting events for their sons and grandsons, including football, basketball, baseball, and golf. Dale also enjoyed golfing. The couple loved to dance, especially the jitterbug. They cherished their family trips to Denver to visit Randy and his family, as well as numerous trips to the Black Hills, including a celebration of their 50th anniversary.

Dale is survived by his wife of 64 years, Karen Leslie of Sioux Falls; his sons and their families, Rick (Deb) Leslie, Randy (Cyndi) Leslie, and Rob (Kristy) Leslie; his grandchildren, Tyler Leslie, Ryan (Chelsea) Leslie, Jack Leslie, Max Leslie, Cooper Leslie, and Charlie Leslie; and great-grandchildren Rhett and Rowan Leslie. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Schulte; his brother, Don Leslie; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and SeDell Leslie; his brothers, Chalmer and Paul Leslie; and his sisters, Priscilla and Carol.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, located at 909 W. 33rd Street, Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57105.
