Daniel "Dan" Spreacker died on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society - Luther Manor in Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home - Westside Chapel, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.

Daniel Craig Spreacker was born on June 16, 1954, in Washington, Iowa to Howard and Patricia (Allensworth) Spreacker. He grew up in Kalona, Iowa, and attended elementary and junior high school there. Dan attended MidPrairie High School in Wellman, Iowa. Dan played every kind of sport in high school but loved football and golf best. After high school, he attended Iowa Central in Fort Dodge, Iowa where he played football. Later he was inducted into the Iowa Central Football Hall of Fame.
Dan and Jane were married on February 17, 1995, in Sioux Falls, SD. He gained two daughters whom he loved dearly.
Dan was a scratch golfer and loved playing the game. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his many friends or boating with his girls. Most of all he loved his grandsons, Max, Parker and Mica. They were the apple of his eye. He went to all of Max and Parker's games of baseball or flag football and would remind them constantly of how much he loved them.
Dan worked for IMT Insurance Company out of West Des Moines, IA for 38 years retiring in 2014 after a bout with cancer. He made a remarkable recovery and Dan and Jane spent a lot of time in Arizona over the winter months.
Dan absolutely loved life and lived it to the fullest. His final words to his family were,
"I had a blast".
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jane of 30 years; daughters, Kate Kiley (Sam Pope) Brookline, MA; Mary (Corey) Benson, Sioux Falls; grandsons, Max and Parker Benson and Mica Pope; sister, Debbie (Bill) Wise of Peyton, Colorado; brother, David (Kim) Spreacker of Pella, IA; brothers-in-law, Pat (Laurie) Buchanan, Jack Buchanan and Clark Buchanan; sister-in-law, Dorene Buchanan; along with many nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Patty Spreacker; his parents–in–law, Dean and Bernadine Buchanan; and his brother-in-law, Spencer Buchanan.
