Darrell G. Lindner, 68, of Dell Rapids, SD passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 surrounded by his family following a five year battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

It was Darrell's request we dress casually when coming to visitation at the funeral home or service at church.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Monday, February 2 at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 301 N. Splitrock Blvd., Brandon, SD with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD.

Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 2:00 – 4:00 pm with a prayer and time for sharing at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 1, at Miller Funeral Home Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD.

Darrell Gene Lindner, son of Darrell E. and Sharon (Ward) Lindner, was born April 25, 1957 at Watertown, SD.  He attended school there until the family moved to Sioux Falls, where he graduated from Lincoln High School.

Darrell was united in marriage with Constance "Connie" Marie McChesney on February 14, 1976 in Sioux Falls, SD.  They were blessed with four children, Darrell J, Rachel, Angela and Bradley.

Darrell was known for being a workaholic.  He was always busy.  He worked as a manager for Building Products Inc. for 43 years retiring in 2021.  He loved life and he loved his family.  He enjoyed racing and working on cars, he loved fishing and hunting.  Darrell always had a good story about one of his life's adventures.  He absolutely loved when he was doing something with his kids and grandchildren who affectionately called him "Papa".

He was a member of Risen Savior Catholic Church.

Grateful for having shared his life are his three children, Darrell J. Lindner (wife Michele Leigh Lindner) of Sioux Falls SD, Rachel M. Trewin (Husband Tony W. Trewin) of Dell Rapids, SD, Bradley G. Lindner (wife Erin L Lindner) of Dell Rapids, SD; grandsons Tanner Trewin, Braxton Lindner, Brandon Lindner, Brandtston Lindner, Brayden Mutcher, Christian Kuhnert; granddaughters, Shelbi Lindner, Ashlynn Trewin, MaKenna Lindner, Paige Trewin, Sydney Kuhnert, Abigail Kuhnert, Jahlyssa Hanson, Emmersyn Kuhnert; three brothers, Kevin Lindner (wife Lisa) Watertown, SD, Jeff Lindner (wife Kim) Pukwana, SD, Brian Lindner (wife Lori), Sioux Falls, SD; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Lindner; a daughter, Angela Lynn Lindner; his parents, Darrell E. and Sharon Lindner.
