David A. Brobjorg, a longtime employee at Raven Industries, died March 26, 2025, at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, SD, with his family by his side. He was 71.

David Allen Brobjorg was born on December 25, 1953, in Dell Rapids, SD, to Orvald and Florence (Holme) Brobjorg. He attended high school in Dell Rapids and graduated in 1973. After high school, he joined the US Navy and served for four years.

On April 23, 1976, he was united in marriage with Ellen Wold at East Nidaros Lutheran Church.

They moved to Concord, CA, where he was discharged from the Navy on August 4, 1977. After relocating, they settled in Tea, SD, and soon became loving parents to three children. David began working at Raven Industries as a machinist. After 41 and a half years, he retired in February 2019.

After retirement, he enjoyed staying at home, drinking while watching movies, going shooting at the range, and teaching about guns and gun safety. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. Cora enjoyed taking Grandpa for walks.

Grateful for having shared his life are his sons, Chris Brobjorg, Tea, SD, Eric Brobjorg (Julie) Tea, SD; daughter, Anlee Geranen (Shawn) Tea, SD; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Schultz (Dick), Dell Rapids, SD, Diane Petree (Dan) of Brandon, SD, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen, in 2006; son-in-law, Travis; his parents; and brother, Jim Brobjorg (Leita) of Hanover, Virginia.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Miller Southside Chapel, 7400 S. Minnesota Avenue (81st and Minnesota). The visitation will take place from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, March 31, 2025, at Miller Southside Chapel. Interment will be at East Nidaros Cemetery, rural Baltic, SD.
