Jorgensen
Oct 5, 1958 — Jul 27, 2025
Sioux Falls
Dawn Jorgensen, Sioux Falls, SD, passed away July 27, 2025, at Dougherty Hospice in Sioux Falls. She was 66.
Dawn Marie Jorgensen, the daughter of James R. Jorgensen and Donna J. (Lemme) Jorgensen, was born October 5, 1958 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls. Dawn grew up in Mobridge and graduated from Mobridge High School in 1976. Dawn married Jeff Vojta in 1976 and they had three beautiful daughters: Sally, Rebecca, and Pamela. After becoming single, Dawn lived in Watertown, SD and lived briefly at Lake Poinsett. Dawn was adventurous and enjoyed living in a variety of places, but eventually she made Sioux Falls home.
Dawn worked in various positions in the restaurant industry. After working for Red Lobster for 11 plus years, she finished her working career at Prairie Crossing as Assistant Activities Director.
Dawn enjoyed life to the fullest. She had a great sense of humor with funny jokes, cute stories and quick wit. (Dorkhead!) Her thrills in life included fishing, dancing, watching crime shows and spending time with family and friends. Betty Boop was a favorite! Also, she would remind you about how great her Packers were. Next time your sweet tooth gets you, please enjoy a 3 Musketeers candy bar in her memory.
Grateful for sharing her life are her daughters Sally (Kent Van Wyhe) Ebright, Canton, SD, Rebecca (Bobby) Potter, Lexington, NE, Pamela (Ryan Soldatke) Vojta, Sioux Falls, SD; three sisters, Susan (Tony) Tupy of Sioux Falls, SD, Crystal (Doug) Arntz, Sioux Falls, SD, Sandra (Rich) Woodson, Springfield, NE; her mother Donna (Lemme) Jorgensen, Sioux Falls, SD; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, James R. Jorgensen, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Friday, August 1, 2025 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1300 Sertoma Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD, with visitation and luncheon to follow. Memorials will be used to help cover family expenses. In the words of Dawn…
