Deborah "Deb" Kohler (Boltjes), 69 of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away with family at her side on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

Deborah, daughter of Percy and Bernice (VandenBos) Boltjes, was born on September 11, 1955 in Platte, SD. She grew up there until her family moved to Geddes, SD in 1970. Deb graduated from Geddes High School in 1973. She later moved to Sioux Falls, SD and graduated from Stewart's School of Hair Styling and began her career at Hair by Stewart's. She then transitioned to Lloyd Companies where she worked until retirement in 2019.

Deb was united in marriage with Frank Kohler on November 7, 1987, in Sioux Falls, SD. Most of their time was spent raising their two beautiful daughters Amy and Sarah. She enjoyed attending their sporting events and spending time as a family.

Deb enjoyed fishing, cooking, and was an excellent baker, especially her caramel rolls and her famous chocolate cake. Her favorite times were spent with family whether it be her husband, children, siblings, or nieces and nephews. She was excited and looking forward to meeting her first grandson.

Grateful for having shared Deb's life are her husband Frank Kohler, daughters Amy Boltjes and Sarah (David) Cooney and their expected son due in March. Siblings Ron (Ann) Boltjes, Dan (Huong) Boltjes, Patsy (Dane) Hanson, Ann (Barry) Matthies, and Frank Jaeger.

Deb was preceded in death by her parents Percy Boltjes and Bernice Jaeger, Harold Jaeger (Bernice's second husband), brothers-in-law Brian Fleck and Harold Kohler, and sisters-in-law Linda Givehand and Susan Willstein.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
