Donald Dean Lee, 76, passed away May 29, 2026 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls SD.  Burial will be at Bluffview Cemetery in Vermillion, SD at a later date.

Don, son of Alois M and Margaret M Lee, was born December 28, 1949 in Brookings, SD.  Don graduated from Wurzburg High School in Germany and from the University of South Dakota.

On June 2, 1979 he married Patrice Sudlow at First Baptist Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Before becoming an insurance agent for Farmer's Insurance Group, Don worked as a social worker. In his free time, Don loved camping, fishing, hunting, golfing, playing pool with friends in Texas. His absolute favorite activity was spending time with family and friends.

Don is survived by his wife Patrice S Lee, son Dan (Kristen) Lee of Pipestone, MN, daughter Rachel (Nick) Anderson of Vermillion, SD, sister Dolores (Jim) Aylward of DeLand, FL, brother Lawrence (Karla) Lee of Yuma, AZ, brother Curtis (Kathy) Lee of Kennewick, WA, brother-in-law Lee (Gail) Sudlow of Hutchinson, KS, sister-in-law Michelle (Scott) VanderWal of Volga, SD, grandsons Max, Ben, Charlie, and Blake, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alois and Margaret Lee of Poulsbo, WA, brother Dale Lee of Bruce, SD, in-laws Lee and Adele Sudlow of Brookings, SD.
