Duane Hagberg, 86, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away Monday, April 6, 2026, at Dougherty Hospice.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Monday, April 13, at Miller Funeral Home Westside Chapel, 6200 W. 41st Street, Sioux Falls, SD to greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Worthington, MN.

Duane Allen Hagberg, son of Ray and Elsie (Lingbeck) Hagberg, was born June 22, 1939, at Adrian, MN. He was educated in the Fulda School System.

Duane was united in marriage with Marilyn Renken on October 30, 1959, in Reading, MN. They were blessed with three sons, Michael, Jeffrey, and Christopher.

Early in his work life, Duane was active with his entrepreneurial pursuits by engaging in multiple opportunities to include owning and operating a feed grinding business and truck line. For the last 55+ years of his life, Duane achieved a successful career in sales and marketing, continuing to work throughout his retirement years. Duane was always a diligent worker. He loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time with his family as he could.

Duane was baptized as a Methodist. For many years, he enjoyed traveling and engaging in his hobbies such as lawn care and carpentry type of work.

Duane is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marilyn of Sioux Falls, SD; two sons, Michael Hagberg, of Aurora, SD,  Christopher (Jean Vogel) Hagberg, of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Dustin (Ashley) Hagberg of Baltic, SD, Zachary (Heather) Hagberg of Sioux Falls, SD, Brooke (Adam Omodt) Hagberg of Sioux Falls, SD; his great grandchildren, Brynlee, Wilder, and Weston Hagberg; his siblings, Marlene Wager, Virgil (Carrie) Hagberg, Linda Hagberg, and Judy (Gary) Herron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Ray and Elsie Hagberg; his son Jeffrey Hagberg; his sister Connie Voss; mother and father-in-law, Jenny and John Renken.
