We are sad to announce that on February 19th, our daughter Ela Joy Barnes was still born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

A Memorial and Time of Sharing will begin at 10:00 am (CST) with visitation following the memorial on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Miller Funeral Home (Westside Location) 6200 W. 41st St., Sioux Falls, SD.

Ela Joy is survived by her parents Daniel and Mane, as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and an extended network of friends, family and church family that were so excited to meet her.

Though we never met her face to face, we had already gotten to know a bit of her personality, felt her vibrancy, and seen some of the light and joy that she brought. We already miss her dearly, and look forward to the day when we get to see her face to face at eternity's gates.
