Emberly Louise O'Connell, age four months, passed away on June 8th, 2026, following complications from a heart condition.

A celebration of Emberly's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 15th, with visitation for friends and family beginning at 9:30 AM prior at Miller Westside Chapel, located at 6200 W. 41st Street, Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57106.

Emberly made the world brighter, louder, sillier, and so much more full of love during her short time here. She packed an entire lifetime of personality into her tiny little self and made sure everyone around her felt it.

From the very beginning, Emberly faced more than most people ever have to. Despite every challenge that came with her heart condition, she carried a strength that amazed everyone around her. She fought through every appointment, procedure, and hard day with a resilience that inspired her family and every person who cared for her.

Somehow, through it all, she was still the most infectiously joyful baby.

She had the brightest, bubbliest smile that could light up an entire room. Emberly loved being surrounded by her people, and she never missed a chance to babble at anyone walking by.

Emberly had a way of making people forget the heaviness for a moment. She reminded us of the importance of togetherness and made our lives infinitely better simply by being here.

Although her time with us was far too short, her life was overflowing with love from beginning to end. She was loved fiercely by her mother, brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and everyone lucky enough to know her.

We don't really know how to say goodbye to someone who became such a huge part of our hearts in such a short amount of time. We just know we were unbelievably lucky to love her.

We will miss her endless chatter, her huge infectious smile, and the incredible strength she carried in such a tiny body.
