Emily Eirinberg, a bright light in the lives of everyone she touched, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, in Sioux Falls, SD. She was 23.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2109 S. 5th Avenue in Sioux Falls. The visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, February 10, 2025, with a 6:00 pm prayer service at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue in Sioux Falls.

Emily Isabella Eirinberg was born February 1, 2002, in Sioux Falls, SD, to James and Patricia (Herrmann) Eirinberg. She attended local schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in 2020. She then attended South Dakota State University.

Emily's love for animals led her to a fulfilling job with Mini Critters in Sioux Falls, where she loved spending time with all the animals and worked in dog daycare and kenneling.

Filled with a passion for dancing, she enjoyed Cecchetti ballet, hip-hop, and modern dance at the Dance Gallery of South Dakota. As the years went on, she developed a love for team sports and participated in soccer, basketball, and golf - and her forte was softball. Emily was a part of a fast-pitch competitive softball league named "Kouri Krush," followed by "Dakota Legends."

Throughout all of her formative years, YMCA summer camp was always a highlight. From toddler years, up to her last day; Emily always found her peace in nature and with animals. Her dream home would have included a farm with bountiful cats and animals; much like the stories her mother would tell from her youth. She held a Catholic faith and her community was at Church of Saint Mary. Emily held a strong connection with children, and in her younger years was the babysitter for several families on the South Main Avenue block on which she was born and raised.

Her friendships, like her passions, were diverse and vibrant. She had a unique gift of embracing the differences in others, bringing people together across ages, races, and cultures. She was a soul who appreciated all aspects of life, and this was reflected in her love of music, a trait inherited from her father.

Beyond everything, was Emily's love and support for her family. Although raised with the same values, she and her sisters held their own distinct personalities which fortified each other and made the family complete. She may not be with us, but she will always be within us.

Emily's legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by her parents, James and Patricia Eirinberg; her sisters, Autumn and Torrey Eirinberg; her cat, Merlin; her dog, Charlie; many cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman and Cele Eirinberg, and Vern and Marcella Herrmann; and godmother, Paula Herrmann
