Erik Alan
Boyles
Nov 25, 1969 — Jun 5, 2026
Sioux Falls
Erik Boyles, 56 of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away doing what he loved on Friday, June 5, 2026, in Sioux Falls, SD.
Visitation with the family present will begin at 9:30 am with a scripture service at 11 am on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Miller Southside Chapel.
Erik Alan Boyles was born on November 25, 1969, in Kendallville, Indiana.
At the age of four Erik, his brother Mick and mom moved to Sioux Falls. Erik attended school at Laura Wilder, Hayward, Axtell Park, and Washington High. He was a Cub Scout and played youth softball for many years and his team won several championships.
He went on to Job Corp where he learned his trade as a floor installer.
He loved music and going to concerts. His first experience as a performer was at Laura Wilder Christmas concert at age 5 where he and 2 classmates took center stage and sang "I'm Getting Nuttin' For Christmas Cause I Ain't Been Nuttin But Bad". Over the years he and his son Blake have attended many concerts together.
Erik was a very inquisitive child. He liked to take things apart to see how they worked, which was great but often they didn't work when he put them back together.
He liked motorcycles at a very early age. In fact, he redesigned his bike to make it look like a chopper at about the age of 9. Next to riding his Harley he loved his dogs, Crom, Freya, and Nancy (RIP) the dog.
Erik worked as an installer for Thornton Carpet, started his own company Erik's Flooring, and worked with Tzadik Properties.
After work he loved getting on his Harley and RIDE, and then stop and hang with his friends. He had a very close relationship with his biker friends and they all enjoyed their time spent together.
Erik is survived by his son Blake Winfrey; mom Nancy (Vincent Keenan); brother Michael Boyles (Carol); niece Brooklyn Boyles (Daniel); step children Talitha and Micah Andersen; step brothers Michael Keenan (Jeanene), Paul Keenan; step sisters Cathy Crisci, Deb Keenan; aunts and uncles; cousins and their families; special friend Diane Plucker; and oldest friend Heath Freeman.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Joe and Jerry Olinger; uncles Jim Olinger, Jack Olinger, Tom Olinger, Mark Keenan; grandparents Juanita (Pete) and Bob Masters.
Following the Scripture Service there will be a "send off" for Erik by his fellow riders.
Following that there will be a lunch served in the dining room.
