Frances Wilbur, age 99, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Services will be held at a later date in Redlands, California.

Frances was born to Harvey and Elsie (Mitchell) Rundell in Turner County, South Dakota. She grew up on a farm near Hurley. Frances graduated from Hurley High School and went on to become a Registered Nurse through Sioux Valley's Nurse Cadet Program. After graduating, Frances moved to Redlands, California and began working at Redlands Community Hospital (RCH). After raising her children, Frances returned to nursing at RCH and then San Bernadino County Hospital until her retirement.

Frances was joined in marriage to Lynn L. Wilbur on January 17, 1948 in Redlands. The couple had three daughters, Mary Lu, Carolyn, and Dorothy. Frances was an active member of Redlands First United Methodist Church, as well as PEO Chapter DW, and Plymouth Village Associates.

Grateful to have shared Frances' life are her children, Mary Lu (Dennis) Green of Sioux Falls, SD, and Carolyn (Elwyn) Erickson of San Jose, CA; her son-in-law, Robert Wheeler of Riverside, CA; her grandchildren, Kenric (Caren Leong) Erickson of Albania, Andrew (Amber) Green of Pella, IA, Rebecca (Blake) Carlson of Moorhead, MN, Kristin Erickson of San Diego, CA, Bryan (Danielle) Wheeler of Los Osos, CA; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Wilbur, and daughter, Dorothy Wheeler.
