Gayle M. Angle, age 80, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Ava's Hospice House in Sioux Falls.

Born on May 16, 1945, Gayle Marie Boldt was the daughter of Jake and Erma (Mairose) Boldt in Dell Rapids, South Dakota. She attended Catholic private schools and graduated from O'Gorman High School in 1963. Gayle continued her education and attended Nettleton College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

On April 26, 1965, Gayle married Chet Angle in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The couple lived in Sioux Falls and were blessed with two daughters, Lisa and Natalie.

Gayle worked as a bookkeeper at various places, including Catholic Family Service, before her retirement. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling, quilting, and traveling.

Gayle is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Brad) Anderberg and Natalie (Jeff) Angle, both of Sioux Falls; three cherished grandchildren, Tessa (Jimmy) Nordstrom, Zachary Olson, and Hunter (Paco) Olson; as well as great-grandchildren, Rylan, Colby, and Calli. Gayle is also survived by her sisters, Vickie (Jim) Beach and Darlene (Larry) Tentinger; and her brother, Don (Debra) Boldt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Erma Boldt, and her beloved husband of 46 years, Chester Angle.

The Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 8, 2025, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at St. Michael Catholic Church, located at 1600 S. Marion Road, Sioux Falls, SD. A luncheon reception to follow. Gayle will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Chet, at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
