George Dean Kiggins, 66, Sioux Falls, passed away June 12, 2019 in his home. Born to Walter and Fern Kiggins on November 6, 1952 in Sioux Falls. He attended Riverside and Whittier schools.

George met the love of his life Ewla Heater in 1985. They spent 34 years together, having three children in addition to his five children from previous marriages.

George was in the Army, worked as a car mechanic, worked for Tom Kontz Construction, V&O Truck Salvage and Pitts Inc., until his retirement in 1994.

George enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Teaching his boys car mechanics, collecting classic model cars, guns, and junking were some hobbies he enjoyed. He loved spending time with family and friends.

George will forever be FORD tough!

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife of 34 years, Ewla Heater, Sioux Falls, SD; six children, George Jr (Traci) Kiggins, Sioux Falls, SD, Jerry (Kelly) Kiggins, Tea, SD, Jesse (Chantel) Kiggins, Sioux Falls, SD, Jesse (Jayden) Heater, Sioux Falls, SD, Gary (Amanda) Heater, Slayton, MN, Angie (Cody) Heater, Sioux Falls, SD; 21 grandchildren, Daimon, Krystal, Kaisean, Troy, Shaylanna, McKenzie, McKayla, Vannessa, Bonnie, Aubree, Ava, Blake, Tony, Payton, Angelina, Lakon, Quinton, Weston, Gage, Neil, Grayson; four great grandchildren, Remington, Wesson, Zaara-Mae, __________; four siblings, Connie Kunz, Sioux Falls, SD, Robert (Sue) Kiggins, Superior, WI, Gary (Renee) Kiggins, Harrisburg SD; sister-in-law, Mavis Kiggins, Harrisburg SD; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Fern Kiggins; two brothers, Gilbert (Donna Jean) Kiggins, Ronald Kiggins; a sister, Bonnie (Roger) Gustafson; two daughters, Renee and Terri Kiggins; a grandson, Devon Tyler; mother-in-law, Bernice Heater; a brother-in-law, Don Kunz.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am Monday, June 17, at Miller Funeral Home-Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave., with burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD.

Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 2:00 4:00 pm Sunday, June 16, at Miller Funeral Home-Downtown.
