Glenda Ahrens, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born to Bucky and Dorothy Hays on March 17, 1949.
Glenda gave birth to two beautiful children, Andy and Natalie, who blessed her with three grandchildren: Ashley, Alex, and Noah, whom she loves dearly. Professionally, Glenda was the Operations Director and President of an international electronics manufacturing company, as well as a shareholder. She traveled to various countries throughout her career, including England, Germany, China, South Korea, Mexico, Canada, Taiwan, and Singapore. She lived in England twice: first for three years and then for six years. Eventually, she found her eternal companion, Fred Ahrens, and they were married in the Seattle Temple.
Glenda is a strong believer in her values. She is a social conservative, a pro-life advocate, and dedicated to spreading the gospel and bringing others to Christ.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints stake center.
Some of Glenda's favorite things include the Christmas season, her puppies, and vacations in the Caribbean. She especially loves snorkeling, swimming, and sailing in those beautiful waters. Above all, she cherishes her family and is committed to ensuring her grandchildren have a wonderful life.
Grateful to have shared her life are her husband, Fred Ahrens; children, Andy Gullixson and Natalie Tegidius; grandchildren, Ashley and Noah; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Alex Gullixson; and her dear friend, Betty Walker.
