Gordon Eugene Aldrich was born on January 9, 1951 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and died on June 29, 2025 in Canton, South Dakota. Gordon was raised in Hartford, South Dakota where he received his education.

Gordon attended college for a history degree but did not graduate. He also attended motorcycle repair school in Florida.

Gordon was in the Navy for four years during the Vietnam war. Most of his time in the Navy was spent on the aircraft carrier Saratoga.

He was married and divorced twice. He had a variety of jobs in Sioux Falls. He enjoyed reading, watching Si-fi movies and doing crossword puzzles.

Gordon is survived by his brother, Lester Aldrich of Bonner Springs, Kansas; his sister, Rebecca Bowen of St Augustine, Florida; his cousins, Deede Koel of Marshall, Minnesota, and Patti Beaudrot of Charleston, South Carolina; his two nephews, Jason Aldrich of Bonner Springs, Kansas and Daniel Bowen, of Jacksonville, Florida; and his niece Amy Bowen of St Augustine, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Eugene Aldrich and Ruby Aldrich.
