Gordon Beck, lifetime resident of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Sanford Ava's House. He was 90 years old.

Gordon L. Beck was born July 1, 1934, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Gordon T. and Clara (Larson) Beck. He attended Sioux Falls public schools and graduated from Washington Senior High School. Following his education, he began working at John Morrell and Company.

On October 11, 1957, he married Eleanor Peterson. The couple remained in Sioux Falls, where they became parents. He joined the South Dakota Air National Guard in 1952, and served many years.

Gordon worked in various departments at Morrell, and in 2003, retired as a supervisor of the motor division.

Eleanor and Gordon enjoyed taking trips out west to visit their son in Kalispell, Montana and also enjoyed visiting other family members in Washington state. Gordon loved driving through the mountains.

Gordon was extremely organized and detailed. Throughout his entire life, Gordon had a passion for cars. He had purchased several cars in his life and also enjoyed collecting model cars.

He was a member of Brandon Lutheran Church. Kind, generous, and loving, he was also gregarious and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be remembered as a courteous and thoughtful gentleman.

Gordon's legacy will live on through his wife, Eleanor Beck of Sioux Falls, SD; son, David Beck, Kalispell, MT; granddaughter, Sadie Beck (Levi Wood); great-granddaughter, Tulah Wood; sisters, Barbara "Pinky" Peterson, and Kay "Katy" Stephenson, all of Sioux Falls, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Helen, Vernice, Carmen and Bill.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Friday, December 6, 2024, at Brandon Lutheran Church, Brandon, SD. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue in Sioux Falls.
