Gwendolyn Delois Jamerson, 60, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, September 25, 2026, at Miller Funeral Home - Westside Chapel, with visitation to follow. Memorials may be directed to the family. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers potted plants.

Gwendolyn Young Jamerson was born August 29, 1966, to the late Charlie Young, Jr., and Florine Willis Young. Gwendolyn accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.
Gwendolyn received her formal education in the public schools of Gadsden County in Quincy, Florida, where she graduated from James A. Shanks High School. Gwendolyn enlisted in the US Army, where she toured Germany and Korea. She assumed the rank of 1st Sergeant. She was employed with the State of Florida Department of Corrections. She was a Personal Aide to Donna Newton Lett Kittrell, a devoted friend. She loved reading, crocheting, helping people, traveling, and cooking.
Gwendolyn leaves to cherish her precious memories one loving and devoted daughter, Kimberly S. Jamerson, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sisters, Zefphine Presha, Sharon Young Gilbert, Shironda Young Golden (Fred), of Tallahassee, Florida; sisters, Sylvia Hicks-McCray (Howard), Millie Willis and Victoria Young, of Quincy, Florida; one brother-in-law, Raymond Parker; one uncle, Ernest Young (Donna); her sister in the Armed Forces, Donna Newton Lett Kittrell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Young, Jr. and Florine Willis Young; brother, Curtis Dale Anderson; and sisters, Jeanette Young, Carolyn Young Gee, and Vernita Young Parker.
