Jackie Lee Harms passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 69. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at First Lutheran Church (327 S. Dakota Ave., Sioux Falls), with the family greeting friends for visitation beginning one hour prior. He will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Jackie was born to Charles and May Harms on July 16, 1956, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He attended Sioux Falls Public Schools and graduated from Lincoln High School. During those high school years, Jackie worked at the Sunshine Foods on E. 10th Street.

After graduation, Jackie worked at Mielman Foods until their closing. He then worked a short time at Brown Drug before beginning his lifelong career at Metz Bakery. He retired after 20 years as a Baker.

Jackie enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and camping with his friends and family. He also enjoyed volunteering as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army during the holidays.

Jackie is survived by his sister, Bonnie (Douglas) Guhlke, Sioux Falls, SD; nieces, Jennifer Harms, Sioux Falls, SD and Amanda (Jon) Schwarz, Pierre, SD; nephews, David Harms, Linthicum Heights, MD, Jason Harms, Sioux Falls, SD, and Dr. Alan (Regina) Guhlke, Loveland, OH; great-nieces and nephews, Jasmine (Ebraam) Ebrahem, Jessica and Phoenix Harms, Morgan and Logan Harms, Caleb, Celeste, and Constance Guhlke.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and May; brothers, Maynard, Dennis, David, Rickie, and Randy Harms; sisters-in-law, Diane and Mary Harms; and nephew, Matthew Guhlke.
