Jamie Rose (Stricklin) Monroe, 35, of Jasper, MN passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 due to an auto accident near Dell Rapids, SD.
A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
Jamie Rose (Stricklin) Monroe, born September 14th, 1988. Jamie was born in Richfield, Utah. She is the daughter of Glenda Burton, Jim Stricklin, and Wade Burton. Jamie is the beloved wife of Oren Monroe and mom to three beautiful children; Naomi, Thomas and Lucas.
As a child, she went to Circleville Elementary in Utah, then attended middle school and high school in Boise, Idaho. She graduated high school 2 years early and moved to Hawaii where she gave birth to her daughter, Naomi. She met the love of her life, Oren in Hawaii where they began their life together. She also started college in Hawaii, but moved with Oren to South Dakota, where she finished her associates degree in Healthcare administration. While in South Dakota, she and Oren added their two boys; Thomas and Lucas. With these additions, Jamie became a stay at home mom, which was a highlight to her life.
Once her children had become school aged, she became a pillar in the Dell Rapids community, starting with her career as a special education paraprofessional at Dell Rapids Elementary School. Her love for caring for others grew, which led her to further her education at Stewart's School of Massage Therapy. She graduated as a Licensed Massage Therapist, and shortly after opened Tranquil Lotus Massage in downtown Dell Rapids. The support she received from the community made her business thrive within the first year. She loved being a part of the Dells community and spoke fondly of all who crossed her path.
Jamie was the glue of her family and brought a sense of hope to every person she encountered.
Grateful for having shared her short life are her beloved three children, Naomi, Thomas, and Lucas. Her husband, Oren, her parents, and her sister, Reanne. The legacy that Jamie left us will live on through countless friends, extended family, and all those who knew her.
