Janice Lynn Werdin, age 76, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born on July 22, 1948, to Horace and Edith (Hartwig) Phillips in Huron, SD.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls.

Janice graduated from Washington High School and worked as a nurse's aide for over 20 years. She married Randall Werdin on September 22, 1977, and they recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. They are blessed with two daughters, Dianna and Chariti. Janice loved horses, and she and Randy owned seven horses. She would go for a ride every morning, and at 4 PM each day, she would take another horse ride.

Grateful to have shared her life are her husband, Randall Werdin; daughters, Dianna (Ron) Wineinger and Chariti (Ryan) Oaks; siblings, Allan (Donna) Phillips and Cheryl Koester; grandchildren, Saleah (Kyle), Cami (Adam), Bethani, Gabrielle, Aron, Aric, and Joii; great-grandchildren, Levi and Peter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Steven Phillips, and brother-in-law, Albert Koester.
