Jason M. Brinker, of Harrisburg, South Dakota, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, while on a work trip. Jason is 44 years old.

Jason was born on March 27, 1982, in Sioux Falls, SD, to William and Barbara Brinker. He grew up in Denver, CO, and later moved back to Sioux Falls where he attended Lincoln High School before continuing his education at Southeast Technical College, where he earned an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering. Later, he also earned an associate degree in Accounting from Colorado Tech.

Throughout his life, Jason was known for his big heart, ability to make people laugh, quick wit, and ability to make friends wherever he went.

Through mutual friends, Jason met Samantha. The two were married on September 24, 2011, and built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure together. They were blessed with two children, Trevor and Vada, who were the center of Jason's world. He cherished every opportunity to teach Trevor strength, resilience, and the value of hard work. To Vada, he would do anything she asked, wrapped completely around his princess's finger.

Jason enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and could often be found cheering on his favorite team. More than anything, he treasured time spent with family and friends. His happy place was at the camper he and Samantha have at Big Stone Lake, where he loved watching the kids play, enjoyed conversations around the campfire, and took in both the sunrise and sunset over the water.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Samantha, two children Trevor and Vada; mother Barb Brinker, Sioux Falls, SD; siblings Chris (Alex) Brinker and their children (Will and Hank), Lone Tree, CO, and Carrie Brinker (Jesse Schanzenbach), Sioux Falls, SD; father and mother-in law Raleigh and Kristie Sayler, Sioux Falls, SD; sister in-laws Jessica (Travis) Nelson and their children (Jennaka and Tawnee), Claremont, SD, and Alexis (Thomas) Jacobson and their daughter (Remington), Tea, SD.

He is welcomed to heaven by his father, William Brinker; his grandparents, Victor and Lois Brinker, and George and Marion Houk; and his uncle, Mike Houk.

The family extends their gratitude for the love, unconditional support, thoughts, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Jason will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jason's life. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Miller Southside Chapel, located at 7400 S. Minnesota Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57108. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, located at 909 W. 33rd Street, Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57105, with a luncheon reception to follow. Jason will be laid to rest at Pleasant View Cemetery, Harrisburg, South Dakota.
