Jason was born on February 21, 1971 to Warren and Myrna (Thoreson) Juenke in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He attended Washington High School and went on to study at Southeast Technical Institute, earning his vocational degree in machine tool technology. He last worked at Graco as a CNC Machinist.
Jason met his future wife, Julie while working at Pam Oil in Sioux Falls. The couple were later married on September 18, 1999. Together they had one daughter, Rachel. Jason was a loving and supportive husband and father. He had a calm presence while still prioritizing his family's needs and wants. Jason had a laid-back charm about him that allowed him to go with the flow and keep an energy of a free spirit even amongst life's stresses. He was known to have an observant quick-wit that lightened the mood.
Jason was a friend to many. He looked forward to annual trips with friends whether they were going hunting, fishing, or to the raceway in Knoxville, IA. Jason also took trips to Mexico. He loved the outdoors and taking long-road trips, frequently going camping or hiking with family or friends. Many fond memories were made with Jason jet skiing on the lake. He enjoyed watching sprint car races, and also frequented Huset's Speedway. During football season, Jason would be cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.
Grateful to have shared Jason's life with him are his wife, Julie Juenke of Sioux Falls, SD; his daughter, Rachel Juenke of Sioux Falls, SD; his siblings, Darin (Erin Marlowe) Juenke of Simi Valley, CA and Ronda (Jeff) Green of Herriman, UT; his mother-in-law, Nathalie Torkelson of Sioux Falls, SD; his brother-in-law, Steve (Sandy) Torkelson of Sioux Falls, SD; his nieces, Hailee Green of West Jordan, UT, Sydnie (Keith) McIntire of Savage, MN, Lauren Torkelson of Madison, SD, and Brianna Torkelson of Sioux Falls, SD; and his beloved yorkie, Rudy.
