Jeffrey Michael
Danielson
Sep 6, 1956 — Nov 10, 2025
Sioux Falls
Jeffrey "Jeff" M. Danielson passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 69.
Born to Roy and Agnes Danielson, Jeff grew up in a loving, close-knit family that valued hard work, loyalty, and laughter. From a young age, Jeff showed a strong sense of duty and a generous heart, qualities that guided him throughout his life.
Jeff proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy, retiring with the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. During his service, he worked as a chef, bringing joy and comfort to his fellow sailors through his skill in the kitchen. After retiring from the Navy, Jeff continued to share his love of cooking with his family, taking great pride in his culinary talents and delighting everyone with his homemade meals.
Following his military career, Jeff moved into the basement apartment of his mother Agnes's home, where he lovingly cared for her for many years. Their bond was one of deep affection and companionship. A few years after his mother's passing, Jeff relocated to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he resided until his death.
Jeff found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending summer days on his patio with his loyal dog, Leo, by his side. A proud Nebraska Huskers fan, he never missed a game and was always ready to talk football. Jeff also had a deep love for music, especially the classics, and could often be found playing his old vinyl records, surrounded by the songs and memories he cherished most.
Jeff will be remembered for his quick wit, kindness, and unwavering loyalty and as a steady and beloved presence in the lives of those who knew him.
He is survived by his sisters Eileen (Rudy †) Wolf, Peggy (Joe) Moritz, and Mary (Dave) Burns; his brothers Terry (Valerie) Danielson and Dan (Pat †) Danielson; his sister-in-law Kathy Danielson; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Agnes Danielson; his sister Sharon (Jack †) Hartnett; his brother Bob Danielson; his brothers-in-law Jack Hartnett and Rudy Wolf; and his sister-in-law Pat Danielson.
In accordance with his wishes, Jeff will be cremated, and his ashes will be scattered at sea in a Navy ceremony honoring his years of dedicated service. His family takes comfort in knowing he is reunited with loved ones who passed before him—and that his humorous, kind, and loyal spirit lives on in their hearts.
