Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Jesse Wade Roach, of Donalsonville, Georgia. Jesse tragically lost his life in an accident involving a vehicle on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the age of 38.

Jesse was born on June 20, 1987, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Steven Wade and Gayle Marie (Rieger) Roach. He cherished his early years at LBA Elementary School and proudly graduated from Lincoln High School in 2005.

Throughout his life, Jesse took on various roles, always with a strong work ethic. In Sioux Falls, he worked as a forklift operator for Magnum LTL and later as an assembly-line package handler at Prairie Foods. In 2021, Jesse relocated to Donalsonville, where he worked as a tree trimmer for S&S Tree Service before spending three years as a truck driver for American Peanut Growers Group. Most recently, he found fulfillment in his role as a chemical handler at Kemp Croom Aviation, where he handled chemicals used in aerial applications.

Those fortunate enough to have known Jesse will remember him as someone who had a unique gift for making others laugh. His outgoing personality brought joy to those around him, and his infectious spirit will be dearly missed. Jesse found happiness in spending time with friends and was an avid supporter of the Denver Broncos and Boston Celtics.

Family was Jesse's greatest treasure. He was a wonderful uncle, devoted to his nieces and nephews, who meant everything to him.

Jesse leaves behind his cherished daughters, Alexia Hardy of Sioux Falls, Zalayna of Colorado, and Adalyah Roach; his loving mother, Gayle Roach; his siblings, Nicole (fiancé Tom) Messelhiser, Brett Roach, and Stevie (Hailey) Roach; and honorary brother and sister, Adam Kaelin and Pamela Bovee. He is also survived by nephew and nieces, Mason Roach, Dakota Sanderson, Braden Messelhiser, Zariyah Messelhiser, Ryder Roach, Rayah Roach, Kyro Roach, Emma Roach, Hazel Roach, and Jakoby; his adored great-nephews, Jr. and Deklan Clark; and Kristen Rueckert.

Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Steven Roach; his stillborn twin sons, Liam and Leighten; his brother, Randy James Roach; and his dear maternal grandparents, Rose Marie Rieger and James M. Rieger, along with his paternal grandmother, Antoinette Roach.

In honor of Jesse's life, a private funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, with a visitation beginning at 2:00 PM, on Monday, November 3rd, 2025 at Miller Funeral Home. Jesse will be laid to rest with his father, Steven, and grandmother, Rose Rieger, at Eagle Butte Cemetery in Eagle Butte, South Dakota.
